types of players in halo: a guide to strategies in CTF

if you've ever played halo on a server, you'll know that there are many types of players, ranging from rushers, to snipers. this is a guide explaining these 'classes' and common strategies for them.

THE RUSHER:
this is one of the most frequently-used strategies. their goal is to get in, get the flag, and get back to base. vehicles are most often used for this, ranging from ghosts to scorpions. vehicles like ghosts or warthogs are preferred by these players, due to their high speeds and maneuverability. banshees are also commonly used because of their ability to seamlessly bypass nearly the entire map. however, using a banshee is not recommended, because if there's a trained sniper nearby, you're pretty much done for.

THE DEFENDER:
every team needs at least three of these. these are the players who stay behind and guard the flag, most often with a sniper rifle or heavy weaponry. it is best to have no less than three, one with a sniper rifle, and one with a heavy weapon, such as a fuel rod gun or a rocket launcher. it's good to have a vantage point for the sniper, such as above the base, or on a ledge near it. scorpions are the easiest way to defeat this class, but beware of snipers.

THE NOOB:
this is the must fun type of player to have on the enemy team. these players will generally go for a scorpion, or a banshee. however, they most often will have no idea how to use them. it is very humorous to see one of these players try to kill his teammates, or to sticky grenade one of his team's vehicles. these players will typically go on a server for 5 minutes, and at their first death, rage about how the game is too hard, and about their delusions of CoD being superior. just thank the forerunners the original halo doesn't have a mic feature.
